- Engineering: Lorina and Hern take the helm

Hern had heard mutterings in Engineering about the Borg. He distinctly remembered T'Phal mentioning about some research she had done regarding the Borg and transphasic shielding
He turned to Lorina, his colleague
"I need to go to Sickbay, check on T'Phal. There's something we can use from her research to help combat the Borg
Lorina nodded, "Don't be long, double the warp cores double the repair potential.. and double the target", she yelled after him

Hern entered the room and walked across to where T'Phal lay
"How are you?"
T'Phal sat up and smiled wanly, "Let's just say I've had better days. I believe the Borg are on the horizon..."
Hern nodded, sitting by the biobed. "I was wondering, you said you did some research..."
T'Phal nodded, closing her eyes, "it's in a program on the main engineering computer. Do you have a PADD with you?"
Hern passed her a PADD and she typed in the name of the program.
"Just type this code into the console and it will run the program for you. "
Hern sat back, "don't you trust me with the programming"
T'Phal tried to shake her head and gave up when the world span wildly, "au contraire Hern. If the worst happens and the Borg board the ship, you won't know how to use it and they can't get it from your assimilation. Just download it into the console and let it run"
Hern nodded as understanding dawned on him
"Thank you, sir. is there anything I can get you before I go?"
"The doctor, Miles, asked me to stay hydrated. Can you pass me a glass of water?"
Hern nodded, stood and brought a glass of water across. T'Phal sat up and slowly sipped her way through the glass's content, before returning it to her officer.
Hern smiled and stood, "Anything you need, you just let us know."
T'Phal looked across and smiled, "Yes, right now my body says sleep...."
Hern made his way to the turbolift and asked for Engineering

Hern punched in the code that set the program regarding the usage of transphasic shielding into the computer console
He turned to Lorina, "here we go!"
