Ilphae sat alone in the sick bay running more tests on her blood. She didn't expect many visitors on the night shift but she had kept the sickbay in perfect running order. She quickly pulled her hair back with a clip she had been fidgeting with when she heard the door open. She walked out of the office trying to not seem startled.

"Welcome to sickbay. I'm Doctor Everhate. How can I assist you Lieutenant?" She noted his rank quickly.

Tim looked at the doctor ''Thank you , well now you say, I have been having problems sleeping''.

"Well take a seat on Biobed one." Ilphae picked up the tricorder. "How long has this been going on?"

Tim hesitated, and finally responded ''For about a week now.''

Ilphae looked at the scan. "Well, I'm glad you came to have it checked out. Everything seems to be normal except that you do seem a little dehydrated. Insomnia can be caused by a couple things. Alcohol before bed will give you a problem. Too much caffeine, exercising to late and even the environment where you are sleeping. Another thing is stress. Any of this ring a bell." Her own voice seemed oddly tired, due to the abnormal thickness in her accent.

Finally aware enough to notice, she gave the lieutenant a look over and immediately regretted it. It wasn't that he wasn't attractive, rather that he was, that was the problem.

Looking back at the tricorder, she hid a smile as she spoke. "Found of kanar?"

Tim Smiled a bit before he responded ''3 glasses before I go to sleep, it normally helps me sleep but not anymore''.

"Try taking it a couple hours sooner. And you should probably drink more water." Ilphae glanced up from the tricorder meeting the Lieutenant's eyes. "I can give you something for tonight, but let's hope that doesn't become a reoccurring thing. What else I can recommend is some water music. Specifically the most peaceful one is program I-701." Ilphae readied a hypospray for Tim. "It's a low dose so it should be ok to get you back to your room, but I'll turn on the EMH and walk you there to make certain."

Tim looked at the hypospray and then looked up at the Lieutenant ''Very well, water right?''.

"Tim, I'm a doctor, not a torture artist. I assure you it won't be over the average human pain tolerance." She held the hypospray close to the Tim's neck and watched him tense up as she hit the button.

Ilphae smiled as she helped him up. "Still feeling ok? You will start to feel sleepy in about 15 minutes."

Tim nodded.

"Computer activate EMH" Ilphae insisted.

The EMH immediately appeared. "Please state the nature of your medical emergency." He quipped.

"I'm taking Lieutenant Veltkamp here back to his quarters. If anyone comes into sickbay tell them so and treat them accordingly until I return. ETA:10 minutes max. If I am not back by then, contact me. Understood?" Ilphae looked at the EMH she had always had problems with them in the past.

"I am not a babysitter Doctor Everhate." The EMH responded.

"A doctor tending to the sickbay, is not a babysitter." She smiled as she headed to the door. "Tim, we might want to get you back to your room..."

Tim felt very sleepy ''I think i have to agree with that''.

Walking beside him she left the Sickbay. "What deck?"

Tim needed a moment to think that over, ''I think deck 5?''.

Ilphae walked with Tim to his room. By the time they reached his quarters he was feeling the affects of the drug.

Ilphae helped him into his quarters. By the time his head hit the pillow Tim was already sleeping.

"Sleep well" Ilphae whispered.

Ilphae started her lonely journey back to sickbay to see the EMH waiting on her with a scornful look. "May I remind you to conduct personal business during your time off Doctor?"

"Excuse me Doc. I have no interest in any man aboard this ship. And even if I did, I wouldn't matter. I have one mar too many on my record already. You may deactivate now." Ilphae returned to her blood tests.
